| Compulsory Basic Training
(C.B.T) |

| From 1st January 90 anyone wishing to
ride a moped or motorcycle, as a learner, on the road must complete a C.B.T
course. The course is designed to bring the trainee up to a competent standard
before being allowed out on the road on their own. The course consists of off
road training, where you will learn about motorcycle control as well as talks on
safety and equipment. Once you are ready, you will ride a two hour supervised
session on the road, during this time you will be in radio contact with you
instructor at all times. |

| The life of your C.B.T
certificate (DL196) will be two years after which
you must retake your C.B.T course. |

From February 2001
anyone wishing to ride a 50cc moped, on their car licence, must complete a C.B.T
course before going on to the road. Under these conditions `L` plates
will not be required and the C.B.T certificate does not have a
expiry date for the Moped catagory (P).

On road instructor to pupil ratio: -
Max. 2 pupils-to-1 instructor. All trainees will be in radio contact with their
instructor. Our C.B.T classroom is conducted
indoors with refreshments and toilet facilities provided. (No talks out of a van
on a wet day). We have a separate class room and a refreshment corner. Our C.B.T
ground, classroom, refreshments are all located under one site. (See pictures
